Veterinary oxygen therapeutics.
From clinical need to evidence.

Build the future VET direction around the real problems veterinarians search and manage: blood transfusion, donor availability, severe anemia, hemorrhage, emergency care and surgery. Then connect those needs to source-linked Oxyglobin and HBOC evidence and to the developing BHOC framework.

Species navigation

Start with the species.

Each species will own its specific transfusion and donor-blood search intent. Shared explanations stay in common evidence pillars to avoid duplicate pages and keyword cannibalization.

🐕

Dog / Canine

Canine blood transfusion, donor blood, DEA 1, crossmatch, severe anemia, hemorrhage, surgery and Oxyglobin history.

P1
🐈

Cat / Feline

Feline blood transfusion, blood types, donor scarcity, crossmatch, emergency anemia and published off-label evidence.

P1
🐴

Horse / Equine

Equine transfusion, hemorrhage, donor compatibility, crossmatching, surgery and field logistics.

P1/P2
🦅

Avian / Falcon / Raptor

Avian transfusion, falcon emergency medicine, donor blood, severe anemia and MENA-relevant evidence.

P2
🦦

Wildlife / Zoo

Wildlife rescue, zoo medicine, donor limitations, trauma, severe anemia and source-qualified oxygen-carrier research.

P2
🐇

Exotic Animals

Rabbit, ferret and other exotic-pet transfusion questions with strict species-specific evidence boundaries.

P2
🐪

Camel / Camelid

Camel, dromedary, alpaca and llama transfusion, donor blood and severe-anemia evidence.

P3
🧪

Other Species Evidence

Reptile, aquatic and other zoological topics only when the evidence base is strong enough for a useful page.

Evidence-gated
Evidence for every species

Different animals. Repeating clinical problems.

These pages own broad clinical intent and then route users into species pages and evidence.

01

Veterinary Blood Transfusion

Transfusion medicine, donor blood, blood products, compatibility and oxygen-carrying support.

02

Blood Banks & Donor Availability

Supply, donor recruitment, storage, inventory, logistics, backorders and emergency blood access.

03

Emergency / Trauma / Hemorrhage

Acute blood loss, hemorrhagic shock, stabilization and tissue oxygen delivery.

04

Surgery & Perioperative Blood Loss

Operative hemorrhage, transfusion, autotransfusion and perioperative oxygen-delivery needs.

05

Oncology

Cancer-associated anemia and tumor-related blood loss without implying BHOC or Oxyglobin treats cancer.

06

Severe Anemia

The shared clinical problem connecting transfusion medicine with oxygen-carrying capacity and HBOC history.

BHOC Species & Biodiversity Protection Initiative

One Oxygen. Every Species.
One Living Planet.

Oxygen is life. Delivering it to tissues is the bridge that sustains life. BHOC builds on nature’s hemoglobin-based oxygen-delivery engineering, advanced by science to help protect life, preserve species and safeguard planetary biodiversity.

Nature engineered oxygen delivery. Science advances it. BHOC protects life.

Protect Life. Preserve Species. Safeguard Biodiversity.

Evidence layer

Applications point back to evidence.

The live Veterinary Evidence Hub remains the source-linked library. VET Applications will organize problems and audiences, not duplicate the bibliography or regulatory records.

Evidence boundary: Oxyglobin regulatory approvals concern dogs and do not establish approval for other species or for a new BHOC formulation. Published off-label and translational evidence must remain labelled. BHOC is presented as a developing research/category framework, not a currently approved veterinary treatment. Donor blood performs many biological functions; oxygen-carrier research addresses oxygen-delivery support rather than replacing all blood functions.
