The Moment of Truth

Mr. Chris Treble
Pencil line illustration titled The Moment of Truth, showing six human medical situations: trauma care, a mother and newborn during postpartum bleeding, combat injury, a donor heart for transplantation, surgery and emergency transport. The question What Is to Be Done? appears below, followed by Different species. The same biological need: oxygen. Signed Mr. Chris Treble in italic lettering.

When a crisis occurs, when life hangs in the balance.
When we face trauma or even death.
When a woman is dying from postpartum bleeding and her child’s life is also at risk.
When a warfighter loses a limb and is hours away from treatment.
When an organ is recovered for transplantation and detached from its blood supply.
When a surgeon interrupts blood flow to the body’s organs.
When resuscitation is required during emergency transport.

WHAT IS TO BE DONE?

Solutions can fall short and have limited effect.
They may help limit the damage without resolving the underlying oxygen-delivery problem.
Too often, the problem is seen as something to manage, rather than something to resolve.

WHAT ARE WE DOING?

We are developing Precision Oxygen Therapeutics based on BHOC (Biological Hemoglobin Oxygen Carrier) to address these problems.

Our work builds on extensive research, clinical trials and clinical-use experience with specific hemoglobin-based oxygen carriers.

THE BARE NECESSITIES

The song from Disney’s The Jungle Book reminds us to focus on life’s essentials.

Oxygen is fundamental to human and animal life. It must reach the tissues and the cells, where mitochondria use it to produce energy.

Survival. Healing. Recovery. Health.

These depend on functioning cells and the energy that sustains them. The same biology matters across medicine, including research on long-term health, ageing and longevity.

Different species. The same biological need: oxygen.

At the moment of truth, this need becomes immediate.

WORK WITH US

We need serious partners who want to be part of this project and help turn it into practical impact.

Our purpose is to address a medical and humanitarian need: helping save lives, helping women survive postpartum haemorrhage, protecting mothers and children, and supporting recovery wherever inadequate oxygen delivery threatens life.

For collaboration or investment enquiries, please send us your proposal and a brief introduction about yourself or your organisation.
